When the nature is covered by the dusk, the magical Northern Lights will appear in the sky. This long weekend is the perfect way to explore winter landscape authentically on three different activities – and with a bit of luck you will see the amazing show of Aurora Borealis.


- Day 1, Airport transfers
Flight from your airport to Kajaani, transfer to your accommodation. Check-in and time to explore the resort.

- Day 2, 17:00-21:00 Northern lights hunt with huskies
Today your experience in Finnish wilderness really starts. The first evening you will be hunting the Northern lights with huskies. You will embrace the romance and beauty of the Finnish winter wonderland as you set of at night by dog sled. Powerful headlights cut through the darkness of the enchanted winter forest. As the forest gives way to the open frozen lake, on a clear night the heavens open up before your eyes hopefully offering up the spectacular scenery of the northern lights. Relax by the warmth of the fire in our traditional Mongolian Yurt as your guide serves up a traditional “musher’s burger”, then step outside for another spectacular view of the night sky.

Come and enjoy this unique adventure being driven by your personal guide as you are wrapped in the warmth of reindeer hides, or join in the driving, either way this peaceful relaxing tour will glisten in your memory for a long time to come.

- Day 3, 21:00-23:00 Northern lights hunt with snowmobiles
This is the day for everyone who loves speed. Welcome to enjoy the wild nature and beautiful wintery scenery of Vuokatti on snowmobiles. Our professional guide gives instructions for driving and information about snowmobiles before we start as the driving. Driving a snowmobile on a dusk is exciting even if you have some experience with snowmobile. And with a bit of luck we will admire natures’ fantastic natural show of Aurora borealis. We drive this safari with brand new 2016 Touring model snowmobiles – due to new technology it’s safer and more environmentally friendly as it produces lower emissions. On our way back we’ll stop for a break and enjoy hot drinks & snacks.

- Day 4, 21:00-23:00 Northern lights hunt with snowshoes
You can sleep in a bit as this is the day to hunt Northern lights with snowshoes. This showshoe adventure is the perfect way to explore winter landscape authentically and with a bit of luck you might see the amazing show of Aurora borealis. This trip starts from Safari Center where from you’ll head up to the Vuokatti hills enjoying amazing snowy forest and peaceful nature. From the top of the hill view is amazing with all the lights shining from the village. After the walk you’ll enjoy some hot drinks and snacks by open fire while listening to guides stories of the nature.

- Day 5, Airport transfers
Transfer to the airport and flight back home.
